22 VLB Certified Brewmasters celebrate their farewell and received their certificates on 22 July at VLB
On July 1, the two Research Institutes for Raw Materials and Beer and Beverage Analytics were merged at VLB to form the Research Institute for Raw Materials and Beverage Analysis. The new department is headed by Dr. Nils Rettberg
Around 200 brewing experts from Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and America attended the 7th Bangkok Brewing Conference, which took place from 12 to 14 June 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
After a long, involuntary break, things finally got going again: VLB teams took part in international trade events in the USA, India, Brazil and Spain.
The course “Applied Training on Sensory Descriptive Terms and Methods” took place on 3 May 2022 at VLB Berlin and was organized for the Dutch Grolsch Brewery.
“Brewing in a Nutshell – Online” is a 100% online course providing detailed basic knowledge of beer brewing. Target group are professionals from industry and consulting with a relation to the brewing business.
VLB will again be present at various international trade fairs for the brewing and beverage industry in 2022.
With retroactive effect from January 1, 2022, Jan Biering has been assigned overall responsibility for the VLB Research Institute for Beer and Beverage Production.
Sociedade Caboverdiana de Cerveja e Refrigerantes (CERIS), a producer of beer, soft drinks and water in the Cape Verde Islands, is a new member of the VLB.
