University Courses at Technische Universität Berlin

The Technische Universität Berlin – Chair of Brewing Science – in co-operation with the VLB Berlin offers the following study courses on brewing science:

  • Bachelor of Science “Brewing and Beverage Technology“
  • Master of Science “Brewing and Beverage Technology“
  • Bachelor Engieering "Brewing Technology"

In addition to this, students with a M.Sc. can also earn a doctorate in Engineering Sciences. Some parts of the courses are held in English. Nevertheless, a good knowledge of German is a prerequisite. Enrolment is at the Technische Universität Berlin, which also specifies admission procedure and fees.

Study Courses at TU Berlin

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

  • Standard period of study: 6 Semester
  • Requirements: "Abitur" or A‐levels
  • Enrollment: At TU Berlin only, deadline: July 15th 
  • Numerus clausus, limited to 20 students per year

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

  • Requirements: B.Sc. in Brewing and Beverage Technology or related degrees
  • Please get informed the website of TU Berlin about the ECTS requirements
  • Enrollment deadline: January 15th (Summer) and July 1st (Winter)
  • Numerus clausus, limited to 10 students in summer and 10 in winter

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)

  • Practice-oriented study course on brewing technology
  • Standard period of study: 6 Semester
  • currently under preparation
