On 9 October 2023, the General Meeting of the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin (VLB) e.V. unanimously elected Jens Hoffmann, Managing Director Technology and Logistics of the Haus Cramer Group, to its Administrative Board. In this honorary position, Hoffmann replaces Ulrich Brendel, who has left the internationally active German brewery group.

Jens Hoffmann (48) is bewmaster and studied business administration and took over the Managing Director position of Technology and Logistics at the Haus Cramer Group in Warstein in November 2022. Previously, he held various national and international management positions in the brewing and beverage industry, including at AB InBev Germany and most recently at the Hamburg Ratsherren Brewery.

The Haus Cramer Group is one of the longest-standing member companies of VLB Berlin and has been represented there on the Administrative Board for decades - most recently by Peter Himmelsbach and Ulrich Brendel. Jens Hoffmann took over this position on 9 October 2023. "I am delighted about the trust placed in me and will gladly continue this Warsteiner tradition at VLB," Hoffmann said at the General Assembly following the vote.

At the same time, Horst Müller, EFES Beer Group, was bidden farewell from the Administrative Board after 16 years of membership. He was awarded the golden VLB pin of honour by VLB President Ulrich Rust for his extraordinary commitment.

The Administrative Board decides on all fundamental matters concerning the VLB and is thus one of the three steering bodies of the VLB, along with the General Meeting and the Management. It is elected by the General Assembly for a period of four years (last election in October 2022).
